Well not much exciting has happened since my last post and since we are in June now, the weather has really put on its full southland charm. It has not been pleasant at all most days. It has snowed around us but so far not here but we have the wet and the cold that comes with snow landing on the mountains. We did sit on Tuesday and watch the snow fall out our window but too wet here to lay.
Anyway we watched the sun peak through dark clouds as it rose this morning, I did venture out for a quick few photos of the sunrise but just quickly came back to the fire. I sound weak I know, but I have never been one for cold. Not sure that I will ever climatise to the cold down here either.
Come on Gypsy, lets go
feeding the fish a winter treat
Back to the sun though, by 10am its was shinning brightly and I gave in once again to letting Cai out for a roam in the fresh air. We fed the fish and visited the horse (the neigh), the sheep (the baa's) and the tractor in the shed ;). We climbed over the rocks in the garden, squashed a few more of my plants, jumped on the tramp, rode the trike and when fingers were too cold to smile about it anymore we came back inside to thaw out. I think our timing was perfect as it has turned again now and raining heavy.
Good morning Gordy
Right lets go see the Baa's now Gypsy, poor Gypsy even looks like she's not enjoying a chilly bum
Well we are now packing for a very quick trip to the Nth island for the weekend, won't be long enough thats for sure but very excited about our little adventure to see loved ones.
